Ok, it’s been a while since this site was updated. But that’s because we’ve been
hard at work on our FUNDRAISING efforts. We have several new members on the
committee. and they are very helpful in keeping things organized and identifying
potential grant opportunities.

A few key things to mention:

• As the little box on the left says, we are having a PARTY IN THE PARK
  on Sunday, October 15 from 3pm-Dusk. This will be an opportunity for adults
  and kids alike to come out and meet new neighbors, hang with old ones
  and celebrate the coming of Fall. Bring your picnic and any games you’d
  like to play. The Park Committee will be providing some games as well.
  
  
• We are very close to having our irrigation system installed in the flower beds
  along Shenandoah. The heat of the summer was not kind to our plantings or
  the volunteers who went out to water them. The irrigation system will allow
  for regular watering and happy, healthy plants. Thanks to Gateway Greening
  for their generous donation to this cause.
  
  
• As part of the irrigation project, the power will also soon be restored to the
  pavilion. That is the first step to fulfilling the plan to increase lighting in the
  park, bith for safety and appearance.
  
  
• Once the irrigation system has been installed, we will turn our focus and
  efforts to removing the old wading pool just south of the pavilion. This
  structure is not only an eyesore, but also a hazard – particularly during
  these rainy months.
  
  
• Lastly, we are an OPEN ORGANIZATION! If you would like to join in our
  efforts to renovate Fox Park, please contact us.
